5. Write the great Singapore Blog
You could say that Wendy Cheng, 20, does not suffer from writer's blog.
"I post new entries every two or three days, usually about the everyday things that happen to me," says the graduate from SingaporePolytechnic's Media and Communications programme.
"It probably takes up about eight hours every week," she adds about her commitment to her blogging website, http://xiaxue.blogspot.com.
Set up in October last year, it currently receives about 2,000 hits a day. It was voted the Best Singapore Weblog by Hong Kong site www.flyingchair.net last year.
She does not feel self-conscious about putting her private life on display.
"I've got nothing to hide. You can complain about life and it makes you feel better. It clears your thoughts."
She started out writing for herself. But now that she has an audience, she makes an effort to be "funny and entertaining".
She is now employed as a writer for a "non-fiction project". She said she was hired because her boss knew of her blog.
